Collective Dreamwork & Art Study Group
21 September 20pm CET via ZOOM
black moon solstice
Otto Marseus van Schrieck
Collective dreamwork is for those who love to venture into the unknown, and sense the magic in being part of something larger than ourselves.
For this series of collective dream and artwork, a small studygroup will observe and investigate what it means to dream collectively. By drawing from Jungian psychology and multiple traditional dreamwork techniques, we will immerse and imagine with the symbols and narratives that emerge from our shared dreams. You will experience a synchronistic language that weaves throughout our individual psyches to show us the much larger story we are part of. Together we will look out for emerging motifs and lean into our individual preferred artforms to help build the bridge for the inner and outer worlds to cross.
What makes this bridge important?
Indigenous peoples, mystics and saints worldwide and stretched along all timelines have known the importance of understanding and working with the inner world, including our dreams and visions, as sources of creativity, information, wisdom and warning. While real change must come from within, it can only come into effect when grounded in the mundane. This is why working with symbols and narratives in any artform helps to plant our dream seeds. Our attention, imagination and hands provide rich soil for growth on both the personal and collective level.
Collective dreamwork gives voice to the more-than-human world, and when we consciously participate, we become witness to the mystery that threads our lives together, one dream at a time.
Practicalities & Participation
Each session draws from a wide range of dream practices and responds to the moment. As such, the form and structure may shift from one gathering to the next. Due to the nature of the work, there is limited space available. More detailed information follows after registration.
To register, please enter the form below. If the study group is full, you can sign up for the waitlist. Please only enlist if you are sure you can attend.
Your Facilitator
The sessions are facilitated by Jungian analyst Suzanne Schreve. She has been trained in the Netherlands and also pocketed degrees in Neuroscience (Bsc) and Media (MA). She has worked with various indigenous teachers. Today, Suzanne has her own practice, co-created the Black Salt platform with artist Lotte Hauss, and lives in the rural Netherlands with husband, kids, cats and chickens. She offers these gatherings for free as part of her ongoing research with the Anima Mundi. To learn more about her research, go here.
This series is part of the Black Salt Compendium – a creative movement dedicated to keeping the doors to the inner worlds open - building a bridge of creative communication, one dream, one breath, one artwork at a time.
